General Information

Voter registration is handled by the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
In order to vote in Ohio, you must be:
  • A Citizen
  • At least 18 years of age on the day of the election
  • Registered to vote at least 30 days prior to the day of the election
If a registered voter moves within the state, the Hamilton County Board of Elections must be notified 30 days before a General, Primary, or Special Election.  You may do this in person at 4700 Smith Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45212, or by mail.  If notifying the Board of Elections by mail, list your name (and previous name if applicable), along with your previous and new addresses, sign your name and mail it to the above address.  If you move within your precinct, you may file a change of address notice at your polling place on election day.  If a voter has not voted in at least 4 years, he/she must re-register with the Board of Elections.
