Comprehensive Sign Plans

Comprehensive Sign Plans are authorized by the Forest Park Sign Code. From §90.22 of the sign code:

"A comprehensive signage plan shall be required for any development which proposes more than one building, multiple tenant buildings, and/or the proposed subdivision and sale of outlots. The comprehensive signage plan is designed to address all tenants who will be using a common private drive and/or shared parking."

Comprehensive sign plans must be approved by the Planning Commission, but once they are adopted, individual signs can be put into place or changed without returning to the Planning Commission for approval, so long as they are consistent with the comprehensive sign plan.
