About the Department

The Forest Park Police Department was established on October 1, 1961, and has grown from a small contingent of officers to a department of nearly 45 employees committed to keeping our community safe. Each employee is assigned to one of the department's divisions and works to advance the mission of the department.

The department and several of its employees have received local, state and national recognition for community policing endeavors, crime prevention initiatives, and crime-solving efforts. Ten of our officers have received the prestigious Hamilton County Police Association's Officer of the Year Award and many have graduated from local, state and national training institutes.
