If you are seeking to become a Forest Park firefighter and are at least 18 years of age, hold a valid drivers license, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess the Ohio EMT-Basic Certification and Firefighter II Certification, please complete an
Online Employment Application  or visit Fire Headquarters at 1201 West Kemper Road, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to complete an application in person.

The hiring process involves a written examination as well as a physical ability examination.  The physical ability examination is physically demanding and tasks include a stair climb, hose drag, equipment carry and ladder rise.  Successful candidates are then required to pass a background check, drug screen, medical exam and polygraph.
