Finance Department

The mission of the Department of Finance is to maintain and strengthen the fiscal integrity of the City of Forest Park, and to provide exceptional, yet efficient customer service.  The City has been able to sustain municipal services by remaining proactive in monitoring revenue inflows, and by controlling and planning expenditure outflows.  While the City was able to structurally balance its funds for 2019 and 2020, the financial plan indicates that future years may require the City to consider modifying our income tax structure.  This will require, in future years, the City to reevaluate past practice and streamline services provided to the residents of Forest Park.  The city will continue to focus on economic development and targeted redevelopment.  Forest Park is a safe and secure city, with sound governance and vibrant neighborhoods.

The Finance Department is responsible for administering the fiscal affairs of the City of Forest Park by performing the following administrative functions:

  • Financial and legal compliance
