Common Ordinance Violations

COMMON REOCCURING FOREST PARK CITY ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS

 

Parking Over/Blocking the Sidewalk (73.02).  It is a violation of city ordinance to park your vehicle in any manner that causes the sidewalk to be obstructed by the vehicle.

Parking on Grass (73.01A17).  It is a violation of city ordinance to park a vehicle in the grass.

72 Hour Parking( 73.14). It is a violation of city ordinance to park a vehicle in any manner on the roadway and allow it to be unmoved for more than 72 hours consecutively.

Parking of Oversized or Commercial Vehicles (73.20).  No oversized or commercial vehicles are allowed to be parked on the street.  This includes any vehicle with more than 2 axels or greater than 96 inches wide or any vehicle with attached equipment racks or utility body.

Snow Emergency (73.31C1).  In the event a snow emergency is declared, vehicles must be moved off of the roadway to allow for clearing of the roadway.  Snow emergencies are broadcast on local media networks.

Animal At Large (96.11).  Animals/pets must be on a leash outside the confines of their property.

Fireworks (132.05).  Fireworks are not permitted to be set off within the city of Forest Park.

Littering (72.65).  It is a violation to dispose of litter outside of a trash receptacle. 

Use of Park Facilities After Hours (93.03).  City parks are considered closed and should not be occupied between dusk and 6:00 am.

Curfew (137.01).  The City of Forest Park has a curfew for juveniles.  Any child under the age of 14 years old cannot be out without a parent between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.  Any child between the ages of 14 and 18 cannot be out without a parent between the hours of 12:00 midnight to 6:00 am.
