History of Forest Park

Welcome to the Forest Park Historical Society page!

Take a nostalgic walk through our city's great history. This production of a written history encompassing the history of the city, is designed to be “organic,” i.e., a history record that evolves over time. We also invite you to attend our monthly meetings and various social/community events that celebrate Forest Park's impact in Hamilton County.

Historical Prologue: A Beacon On A Hill

The following is an overview of the history of the City of Forest Park, a project first conceived on the occasion of the city’s 60th Anniversary Celebration, October 8, 2016. It is a work in progress to which none of the contributors is a professional historian. We are, however, all Forest Park residents and members of the Forest Park Historical Society, created in 1992 by resolution of the Council of the City of Forest Park.
