Community Services Division
The Community Services Division is a unique unit among police departments. Community Services is a blended operation that encompasses Community Policing initiatives, Crime Prevention strategies, and criminal investigations into a diverse brand of policing. Highly trained and experienced men and women offer the community a wide range of expertise in many different areas. They are selected based on their abilities to perform specialized duties and then assigned to the community policing and investigations division to designated duties.
Within this division is Drug Abuse Resistance Education Officer (D.A.R.E.) Officer Krista Schmidt, Detectives Tim Goetz, Jackie Dreyer, Dave DeSalvo, and Laurie Bello. Bob Wright serves as the Forensic Specialist and Officer Vada Harris is our School Resource Officer. The Division also encompasses our Community Traffic Safety Officer, Nick Fimiani. The unit also handles serious crimes and drug investigations, Neighborhood Blockwatch, and Citizens on Patrol.
The Community Policing and Investigations Division is supervised by Lt. Jeff Larsh. These men and women are available to assist you with any needs or questions you may have.
