Living in Forest Park

A planned community since its inception, Forest Park is now the third largest city in Hamilton County, Ohio, with approximately 19,463 residents in 7,505 households. We are located only 14 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, 35 miles south of Dayton, and within 125 miles of Columbus, Mill Road Station HouseIndianapolis, Louisville, and Lexington.

After the surge in economic growth following WWII, the Warner-Kanter Corporation set aside a portion of undeveloped land from neighboring Greenhills and began to plan and build this new city.

Forest Park was incorporated as a Village in 1961 and achieved city status in 1968. Using a master plan to develop its 3,800-plus acres, Forest Park integrates commercial developments and high quality neighborhoods while leaving the surrounding greenbelt virtually undisturbed.

Styles of residences range from older, single-family homes to new single-family developments to apartments and condominiums. Housing prices range from $60,000 starter homes to $300,000 luxury estates. Apartment rents range from $400 to $900.The City of Forest Park is proud of its quality of residential life and maintains residential excellence through City requirements for property maintenance and animal control.

Forest Park lies within two public school districts. Winton Woods City School District is dedicated to the educational needs of approximately 4500 students, and operates eight schools: 6 elementary, 1 middle, and 1 high school. For more information call the Winton Woods Board of Education office at 825-5700. Students from the western side of our community are part of the Northwest Local School District, which operates 1 elementary, 1 middle and 1 high school. For more information call the Northwest Local School District office at 923-1000. Residents also have access to many private, parochial, and vocational schools in the area
